Supply chain success
Low Pressure Rotor Blade
We've achieved another milestone, with the first low pressure rotor blade being completed in GE Power's factory in Belfort, France. The rotors are unique because the last stage blades are the longest ever made.

The rotors form a critical part of the low pressure steam turbines, which will be key components of the power production equipment.

Each reactor unit will have three low pressure turbines.

Permanent buildings take shape
Operational Service Centre
The Operational Service Centre is one of our permanent buildings. It will act as the primary office for the staff responsible for managing the operational power station. The building will house office space, meeting rooms and maintenance workshops.

We've been busy making a start on the building which will be located at the centre of the site, between the two Turbine Halls. So far works have focused on excavations and erecting the first of two tower cranes which will support it's construction.

Covid-19 Update
Hinkley Point C
The situation on site is following the improving national trend. It is good news that many of our workers and many people in the community are already benefitting from vaccination. The majority of our workforce will have had a first vaccination by the end of April.

However, we will not be complacent or simply wait for the virus to go away. The measures we are taking reflect our determination to keep a constant downward pressure on Covid-19.

We will follow Government guidance in planning an end to the lockdown, using a measured step by step process when conditions allow.

Community Bus
Bus passenger counting
In line with the latest Government Guidelines, we are hoping to be able to re-introduce operation of the Hinkley Point C Community Bus Service in mid-April.

Buses used on the service are modified to allow for social distancing and a face covering must be worn by all passengers.

Keep an eye out on our website for further information.
