February project update
Sizewell C is continuing work along Lover’s Lane, the Ancillary Construction Area on King George’s Avenue and the Main Development Site. You may have noticed our contractors are trimming back hedgerows around the Sizewell C site and this work will also continue over the next month.
We have recently written to residents along the B1122, highlighting the upcoming resurfacing work to improve the condition of the road, which will reduce noise and vibrations generated from traffic. These works will be undertaken on sections of the B1122 between the junction with the A12 and the junction with Abbey Lane in Leiston. We expect the work to start week commencing 18th March and we anticipate it will be completed by 14th April 2024 (subject to weather conditions). We will write to confirm the schedule and outline traffic management before work begins.

Construction update
Current activity on site and across a number of Associated Development sites is concentrated on ecological and archaeological works on site, as well as conducting ground trials for civil engineering works and commencing drainage and earthworks. We’ll be working on access roads on site so that construction traffic can get direct and efficient access, and we’ll establish perimeter fencing so that we have safe and secure site boundaries. We’ll also start on the construction and fit-out of our early site welfare and site offices, so we’ve got the right facilities in place for our team.
Forums
We have now held three inaugural forum meetings including the Main Development Site, Northern Transport Forum and the Southern Transport Forum, and thank all attendees for their contributions. The agendas and slide packs can be found on our webpage Community Forums - Sizewell C. The minutes from the meetings are with forum members and will be formally approved at the start of the next meeting, then published on the East Suffolk Council website.
The Sizewell C forum will run annually, the first meeting will be held on Tuesday 9 April (please note the date has been amended to avoid a clash with the Easter bank holiday weekend). For further information please visit our website: https://www.sizewellc.com/community/forums.

HGV movements and notifications
Local communities are encouraged to sign up for email notifications in advance of wide load movements during the construction period. If you’d like to receive these notifications, simply get in touch with our Community Relations Team info@sizewellc.com to register.
There are designated routes for HGV movements which are monitored by our Traffic Management Team who brief our contractors of their travel obligations. We have also put signs in place across the region and in Leiston to direct our traffic. This process is working well, however, if you see any HGVs that you believe are not complying, please get in touch via info@sizewellc.com or 0800 197 6102.
