Funding for Business
Manufacturing Growth Programme-

A recently extended funding programme aimed at supporting SME Manufacturers to grow by identifying, understanding and removing barriers to growth and enabling sustainable business improvement.

Providing free advice and support to manufacturing SMEs to help:
  • Identify opportunities and create plans for growth and improvement
  • Work with the best external experts to implement those plans
  • Cover part of the cost of implementing the plans through an improvement grant
  • Connect to wider support to maximise opportunities for growth
  • Specialist Manufacturing Growth Managers provide free advice and support to businesses in the Yorkshire and Humber areas
  • The intervention rate is 43%

Grants4Growth-

Grants4Growth provides capital grants up to a maximum of 28% of the eligible capital spend on initiatives that promote business growth, help create jobs and improve the efficiency of a business.  The minimum grant available is £1000 up to a maximum amount of £25000.  The Grants4Growth scheme has been granted an extension to funding for the next 3 years, however if a business has already obtained funding previously under this scheme they are ineligible to apply again.

British Steel in Scunthorpe moves a step closer to becoming hub for Heathrow Airport expansion

The British Steel Scunthorpe Site has been shortlisted as one of 18 sites left in the running to become off-site construction hubs for the third runway project.
The creation of a Heathrow logistics hub at British Steel in Scunthorpe has been described as an 'opportunity of a generation' and could lead to huge economic benefit for North Lincolnshire

The winners will be announced early next year ahead of construction starting in 2021.
